<title><![CDATA[It's Time!]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>Well, after much hemming and hawing, its time to get back on track. &nbsp;I'm making a commitment to a healthier, slimmer, fitter and happier ME! &nbsp;I've had some starts and stops (mostly stops!) but in order to have the longevity I'd like to have and to be healthy, I've gotta commit. &nbsp;And I am! &nbsp;Well, tomorrow. &nbsp;I'll start tomorrow. &nbsp;<img src="/mod/tinymce/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/smiley-laughing.gif" border="0" alt="Laughing" title="Laughing" />&nbsp;&nbsp;Actually, it starts today. &nbsp;I will be attending a 4th of July BBQ soon and it's going to be a challenge but I will do my best to start strong. &nbsp;I'll keep you posted on how it goes! &nbsp;Happy 4th everyone!</p>

<title><![CDATA[Updates!]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>Life has been so hectic lately, but I finally have a chance to update my journal. I hit the gym with Mister G today after taking a week off of working out because of some personal stuff -my loved roommate was dying on me (not really but was super sick... she's better now, yay!) and I had lots of advocacy stuff going on. Getting back into the swing of things when you've taken some time off is always the worst. My years of swimming have taught me that the first day will be painful, the second worse, and then by day 4 or 5 you're back on track... sooooo can I be at day 5 yet?!&nbsp;</p>
<p>In other news I have some random exciting updates: 1) I gave a speech at UCLA's "Take Back the Night" on May 20 about advocating against sexual violence especially on campus incidents. It was an amazing experience to get to reach out to other girls and have them confide in me afterwards. 2) I took my last diagnostic LSAT test before the real thing and got a 167, my goal is to get 168-172. So it's definitely promising! Cross your fingers for me!!! 3) I interviewed for a $18,500 a year scholarship for my Masters in Social Work Program -I hear back in late June.&nbsp;</p>
<p>And LASTLY: Miss California, USA update -I have a fashion photoshoot on Saturday so be ready for new pictures!!!&nbsp;</p>
<p>That's about it for now... Bedtime so that I can wake up bright and early for kickboxing class before a day of more LSAT prep!&nbsp;</p>

<title><![CDATA[A Day With gTonnicks and Mister G]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>After waking up bright and early, and eating my gluten free bread with sunbutter (which Mister G keeps making fun of me for), I headed to Mister G's 8:30 AM one hour gTonnicks class at the Platinum Fitness and Wellness Center.</p>
<p>The hour class was killer as usual, but it's getting easier now that I know that moves and am getting slightly cordinated :-P. I love doing the gTonnicks classes because they are a fun mix of stretching out your body, working small muscles, and even cardio. This is really great for me because of my injuries from my days as a competitve swimmer. When I concentrate on the specific muscles it helps prevent aggravation of these injuries while allowing me to build up strength. We also established during the class that Mister G doesn't call me "Miss Diva" just to make fun of me, like some of the other class members thought, for once he's not being mean -it's actually my name :-)... just kidding he's never mean... reallyyyy... :-)</p>
<p>After class Mister G and I shot our first video for the <a href="http://www.mygTonnicks.com">www.mygTonnicks.com</a> website. He wanted me to do cardio first, but I convinced him it would be better not to be super sweaty yet for the video (a good way to get some rest).</p>
<p>After shooting the video I did a quick&nbsp;30 minute cardio circuit -5 minutes spinning, 5 minutes elliptical, 5 minutes on the treadmill at 7.0 mph with light resistance (repeat twice).</p>
<p>And now off to study for the LSAT!</p>
